This part replaces the dumb top cap on the scrubber of the Apocalypse Type IV CCR and requires relocation of the integrated 4kg weight. Designed for housing up to 4 Galvanic oxygen sensors and solenoid; with controllers, displays, HUD and batteries contained outboard of the head volume.
Available to OEMs with professional machining capabilities who wish to offer a state of the art eCCR in markets not served by OSEL. Whilst the eCCR Incursion BM is CE certified to EN14143:2003 inclusive EN61508 high SIL this is not salable to recreational customers due to military end-user specifics. Whilst OSEL could readily fit and offer a number of COTS eCCR controller options and offer this ourselves, we have yet to identify any that would pass the standard of EN14143 certification our technical file requires, for audit. Which is why a cheap eCCR option is not available by default from the factory for the Apocalypse Type IV (m)CCR.
This blank eCCR head comprises of just the mouldings, comprising the head, O-rings, sensor card holder and circlips, along with documentation covering the connector machining. No machinging for eCCR electronics is provided. As supplied, this set of component parts is undiveable and requires accurate machining to fit PPO2 cabling and electronics to the Apocalypse Type IV CCR. But it is directly sealable to the top of the scrubber and counterlung out of the box and has been tested to provide no variation to the WOB, scrubber duration nor any other testing required for CE certification of the rebreather loop.
