The ClearDive Mic is a highly rugged and robust microphone, with good sound quality.

The microphone capsule has been used for communications by tank crew, fighter pilots and astronauts in the field for decades.

The ClearDive mic improves on this by adding active signal processing to remove the resonance from the oronasal mask and fatten the spectral response. The ClearDive mic is available with options of self-powered for legacy systems, or externally powered for new generation personal diving equipment, and as a water resistant module for use within dive helmets and a fully submersible option for use with full face masks.

The legacy model is a replacement for existing microphones for improvement of sound quality and reliability. It is powered from a coin cell fitted inside the mic: the cell lasts for at least 500 hours and is easily replaceable. There are no on/off switches – it is always on and ready for operation. The legacy model can be supplied with high level outputs as an option, which can reduce the effect of noise cross-talk in umbilicals.

All models ft a normal microphone port on an oronasal mask. They can also be fitted to panels, by unscrewing the front bezel.
