Open Safety Auto-Loop-Volume-Bail-Out-Valve (ALVBOV)

The ALVBOV combines the rebreather mouthpiece with a high performance open circuit regulator, with touch button switch-over. It is supplied with breathing hoses, DL P-Ports and LP hose for use in upgrading the Functional Safety and breathing performance of any rebreather.

FEATURES

• Auto-shut-off when removed from mouthpiece retainer Bail out meeting EN250 and NORSOK standards
• Auto-Loop-Volume device Has a very low Work of Breathing: just 0.57J/L at 40msw, in air, at a 75 lpm RMV.
• Fitted to any rebreather, it will reduce the overall Work of Breathing (WOB), as all contemporary mouthpieces (either DSV or BOV) have a higher WOB.
• The valve is supplied with two hoses fitted, and DL two button P-Ports that can be fitted to over-the-shoulder counterlungs, back-mounted counterlungs or any other configuration with appropriate third party adapters.
• Independently CE certified for both Closed Circuit and Open Circuit to 350m.

The ALVBOV can be triggered to close the breathing loop automatically when it is removed from the mouth: in this mode, open circuit is available. This works by pressure on the tigger necklace cord, and is reliable: it operates every time when needed and never activates accidentally when setup correctly.  If removed on the surface to allow the diver to talk, the cordcloses the rebreather loop automatically, removing the risk of the rebreather flooding and the diver losing buoyancy.

The purge button (highlighted in yellow) allows the diver to flush the rebreather by depressing the button in front of his mouth with the same muscle memory as open circuit.

The faceplate, that the purge button is fitted to, is designed for high flow currents and DPV use. Meaning that the ALVBOV does not freeflow in current.

A water dump enables the diver to keep the mouthpiece completely clear of condensate.

As shown this ALVBOV is fitted with the iCCR LED HUD which displays PPO2 and CO2 alarm states to the diver. When supplied without the iCCR Monitor fitted a top blanking plate replaces this module.

As supplied the complete loop weight is 1.58kg and being neutral in the water does not require counterweights.
